Apple has debuted its new products, and a globally famous star stole the spotlight for a bizarre reason!
On Wednesday, September 9, the tech giant unveiled a new line of products, including the iPhone 18 Pro in a stunning burgundy colour.
In a promotional joint post, BLACKPINK Rosé posed with the iPhone, with Apple captioning the post, "iPhone, new trick, watch this, watch this ahhh," seemingly teasing a new project, but it was not the upcoming track that caught fans' initial attention.
The snap, which featured Rosé looking sideways in blonde hair with a burgundy iPhone in her hand, looked quite odd to fans, which they were quick to point out.
Fans' reaction to Rosé's iPhone post
"This kinda looks photoshoped," top comment under the post read, which garnered over 100,000 likes.
Another user noted, "Yall didn’t send her the real one?"
"why this looking like edited???" a third fan questioned.
"this is edited and it’s obvious who went ahead with this," another user said.
A fifth comment read, "Rosie I love u but that Iphone looks so fake."
Rosé and Apple's surprising collaboration
Besides the bizarre post, Apple has also teased a new single by Rosé titled new trick, set to be released on September 17, entirely filmed on iPhone 18 Pro.
The music video for the upcoming track will continue Apple's Shot on iPhone campaign, and the video is directed by Dave Meyers, who also worked on BLACKPINK Jump.
Rosé talks about 'new trick'
Speaking to Vogue, Rosé said, "This song was written during a hectic week, I think two days after the Met Gala in New York."
"Ultimately, we successfully wrote something so not sad, and I think it is possibly the cutest thing we’ve ever made together. ... Maybe 'Apt.' is the cutest, but y’all can judge that for me!"
On the other hand, iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max pre-orders begin on Saturday, September 12, with availability beginning Friday, September 18.
