King Charles III’s new cope-up mechanism is reportedly focusing on his royal engagements.
Amidst the escalating tensions between His Majesty and his USA-returned son, Prince Harry and his family, the monarch has made a rare appearance in Aberdeenshire.
On Thursday, September 10th, the British Royal Family has turned to their Instagram account to share the key highlights of the King's new royal event, where he officially opened the newly extended Braemar Mountain Rescue Centre in Aberdeenshire.
The royal announcement also revealed that the 78-year-old British monarch inaugurated the newly extended Mountain Rescue Centre, as he stepped into his charity patron role.
What is King Charles' role in Braemar Mountain Rescue Association?
For those new to the room, Charles is an active patron of the Braemar Mountain Rescue Association, which he has been supporting since his late father, Prince Philip's passing in 1966.
However, after Prince William and Princess Anne's sombre trip to Norway, where the two royals represented the grieving King at the funeral service of the late King Harald V, who was a beloved cousin of King Charles.
"The King has officially opened the newly extended Braemar Mountain Rescue Centre in Aberdeenshire," the Buckingham Palace's aides shared.
The Statement continued, "As Patron of the Braemar Mountain Rescue Association, The King met volunteers to hear about their vital work supporting those in need across Scotland’s mountains, as well as representatives involved in the design and construction of the new facilities."
"The expansion includes enhanced training areas, additional storage for rescue equipment and vehicles, and a new base for @policescotlandofficial," they added.
Notably, King Charles visited nearly 30 years after his dad, Prince Philip, The Late Duke of Edinburgh, unveiled the centre’s previous major refurbishment.
During his rare appearance in Aberdeenshire, His Majesty was not accompanied by any of the Royal Family members, including his wife, Queen Camilla.
King Charles' escape from Meghan, Harry tensions
However, the public outing may be his coping mechanism to put aside the tensions which specifically heightened after the return of Harry and Meghan Markle later in August.
As they arrived back in Britain after nearly six years, King Charles sent a bombshell letter in which he clarified that despite the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s return and possible reunion efforts with the royal family, they remain as "private citizens."
It is pertinent to mention the couple's reaction, as they were reportedly "surprised" by His Majesty's unexpected move.
Reports also indicated that Harry and Charles had an alleged heated exchange on the call, after which the King publicly revealed that he still "cannot use His Royal Highness" titles for his wife.
