The Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry has broken his silence just hours after Buckingham Palace reacted to his uncle, Earl Spencer's shocking claim.
Harry and William's uncle, Charles Spencer in his newly released Princess Diana memoir recalled very shocking remarks of the 77-year-old monarch about his late sister.
In the book titled, Swan Song: Diana, My Sister, Earl Spencer got candid about a telephonic exchange he had with then-the Prince of Wales, where Charles told Diana's brother that his sister would be forgotten “soon enough.”
Shortly after the claims hit the headlines, a spokesperson of Buckingham Palace told GB News that "While we do not comment on books as a matter of principle, His Majesty is mindful that the pain of fraternal grief can cloud reason, affect judgment and colour memory in ways others do not recognise, even many years after such a loss."
Just hours following this swift yet shocking response from the Palace on behalf of Harry's father, the Duke announced a special event in London on late Wednesday night, September 17.
The official Instagram account of The Invictus Games 2027 on behalf of their founder, Harry announced, "Tomorrow, the first ever #InvictusSpirit Awards take place in London."
"We’ll come together to recognise the people whose courage, commitment and contribution have made a lasting difference to the Invictus Movement, celebrating the stories of resilience and dedication that continue to inspire and support our international Invictus Community," added the announcement.
