Since his return to the UK, Prince Harry has exchanged words with King Charles via a phone call; however, there remained no contact between the estranged brothers despite being in the same country.
Despite sharing opposite stances on Harry's reunion, William and Charles are reportedly on the same page on one pivotal topic.
Prince William and King Charles 'completely united' on one thing
Royal author Russell Myers told PEOPLE, King Charles and Prince William are "completely united on the Sussexes not representing the royal family. It's without a doubt how in sync they are on this matter".
The Duke of Sussex has limited contact with his family since he and his wife, Meghan Markle, stepped down as working royals in 2020 and moved to California.
The pair, along with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, returned to the UK on August 26 for an unknown period of time.
Following their return, on September 7, a letter was issued on behalf of King Charles stating that Harry and Meghan remain nonworking royals.
Prince William to have 'no relationship' with Prince Harry in future?
"William's view is clear — any relationship his father has with Harry or the Sussexes as a family is entirely up to him," said Myers. "But looking toward the future, he will have no relationship with them, in a working or private capacity whatsoever.'
"It will be incredibly draining," added royal historian Amanda Foreman. "They will always have to look over their shoulders and factor them in. And all they can do is deflect. Yet, they’ll get lots of jabs and questions: 'When are you going to make up with your brother?'"
