Meghan Markle recently showed a subtle sign signaling at her efforts to draw Prince Harry closer to his late mom Princess Diana's memories.
The Duchess of Sussex - who marked her "extended" return to the UK last month with Harry and kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, six years after their shocking exit in 2020, shared a heartfelt birthday wish for the Duke earlier this week.
Marking Harry's 42nd birthday, Meghan shared a montage of adorable family photos, offering fans a look into duke's close bond with his kids and the duchess.
For the soundtrack of the Instagram reel, Meghan chose Tina Turner’s iconic hit The Best, the track Diana used to play on their school run, holding a sentimental value for Harry.
The subtle gesture from Meghan is being seen as a hidden message for the Royal Family that she and Harry are inclined towards forming a close bond with Diana's brother, Charles Spencer.
“There’s no doubt Meghan’s encouraging an alliance with the Spencers,” an insider told Woman's Day magazine.
They continued, “After the King’s letter, she knows where their bread’s buttered and the Earl has been nothing but warm and kind to her and the children.”
“Harry’s been taking great comfort in his long chats with Uncle Charlie, however they all know it could start a war no one wants,” added the source.
However the Palace insider explained that “The Royals have already shunned the Sussexes and the Earl has never been forgiven for his speech at Diana’s funeral, so, the two teaming up would come at a price neither are willing to pay at the moment."
This update came on the same day a Buckingham Palace responded to a shocking claim, Diana's brother, Earl Spencer made in his new memoir, Swan Song: Diana, My Sister.
The ninth Earl of Spencer family in his bombshell book claimed that during a telephone call with then-the Prince of Wales after Diana's death, Charles told him that his sister would be "forgotten soon enough".
However, strongly responding to the shocking claim, the Palace insider told GB, "While we do not comment on books as a matter of principle, His Majesty is mindful that the pain of fraternal grief can cloud reason, affect judgment and colour memory in ways others do not recognise, even many years after such a loss."
