Lionel Richie has postponed his tour dates after undergoing a heart procedure.
On Tuesday, September 22, the singer's rep said that Richie "underwent a common procedure for Atrial fibrillation (AFib)", adding, "The doctor said everything went perfectly."
The rep continued, "Lionel is doing great but will take some time off and will be back on stage soon."

It has been reported that the next three performances of his Sing a Song All Night Long Tour with Earth, Wind & Fire, September 26 in San Francisco, September 30 in Chicago and October 2 in Columbus, Ohio, have been postponed.
Atrial fibrillation is an irregular heartbeat that can lead to dizziness or lightheadness, shortness of breath and fatigue.
Lionel Richie's previous hospital visits during the tour
Richie previously checked himself into a hospital in late August following a concert in St. Louis.
Moreover, on the opening night of his tour, in St. Paul, Minnesota in June, Richie was taken to the hospital and had to postpone his next two concerts after he felt dizzy during Dancing on the Ceiling and walked offstage.
He returned to perform Three Times a Lady before the concert came to an abrupt end.
Returning to the stage after the opening night incident, on June 30, he joked about his recent health issues.
"You have no idea what I have been through in the last 24 hours, listening to my friends tell me their advice on what I should be doing," he said onstage.
When are Lionel Richie's next shows?
His next shows are part of a Las Vegas residency at Encore Theater at Wynn Las Vegas from October 14 to November 13.
