Taylor Swift wants Ed Sheeran to understand one very important thing amid Macklemore controversy.
The 14-time Grammy winner - who shares a very close bond with Ed since 2012, has reportedly established contact with the Shape of You hitmaker as he reels with the aftermath of dropping Macklemore from his Loop tour.
As per inside sources, Taylor has extended her private support to Ed, but at the same time, the Lover songstress has refused to get directly involved in the drama to avoid becoming the "center of negativity".
"Taylor has spoken to Ed and has been supportive privately," an insider told Rob Shuter.
However, per the source, Taylor "understands this is Ed’s situation to navigate. Don’t expect an Instagram statement or some big public show of support."
According to the music industry insider, "Taylor has learned that when you’re as famous as she is, simply standing beside someone can become the headline."
"She cares about Ed, but publicly jumping into this would only make the story bigger," they added.
