Publishing industry sources told The Sun that the 66-year-old former Duchess of York is just “days away” from sealing the agreement.
The outlet’s sources said she is determined to repair her relationship with the British public.
One source stated, "Sarah wants to set the record straight about everything and earn some money to resolve her financial issues."
The tipster added, “There has been a secret bidding war and a deal is close to being secured.”
They shared, “The notes are compelling and the bidders are excited,” before adding, “Fergie is ever the optimist and believes she can be forgiven and welcomed back.”
The memoir has reportedly attracted bids from multiple U.S. publishers.
The proposed memoir could address some of the most sensitive issues involving the Royal Family, including Ferguson’s past ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, which have followed her for years.
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, Ferguson’s former husband, may have a significant role in the book after being arrested in February on accusations of misconduct in public office.
He denies the allegations and is still under police investigation over his Epstein ties.
The memoir could also cover King Charles’ decision last October to remove Ferguson’s duchess title as scrutiny over the Epstein allegations grew.
