Prince Harry labelled US 'citizen' in second NYC engagement: Here's what happened

Prince Harry has returned to the United States of America after spending chaotic weeks in the United Kingdom.

Reportedly, to make space amid the controversial clashes with King Charles, the Duke of Sussex attended a few key engagements, which took place at the state, which he left in August alongside Meghan Markle and his two kids, Prince Archie, seven, and Princess Lilibet, five.

Prince Harry's extensive visit to New York City without his family

On Wednesday, September 23rd, the estranged member of the British Royal Family quietly arrived in New York City, where he attended four major events in two days.

He initially attended the Clinton Global Initiative Annual Meeting, where he spoke about the negative side of Artificial Intelligence and its impact on society.

The father of two also made a brief stop at Skift Global Forum, highlighting his travel and conservation at the North Javtis Centre.

However, on the same day he also met with our partners and leaders across the sector, including EU Commissioner Apostolos Tzitzikostas, at an exclusive private reception.

On Thursday, September 24th, Harry joined the Diana Award and ServiceNow at Goals House NYC.

During the prestigious event, the 42-year-old royal member took part in the discussion about the future of work, young people, and AI.

Prince Harry also attended two other major events, the National Geographic & De Beers Okavango Eternal event at the Jardin de Sur Madison during his brief US trip.

He was joined by the president of Botswana, Duma Boko, and National Geographic Explorer, Dr Steve Boyes.

Duke of Sussex branded as USA citizen during second engagement

At one point, when the President of Botswana was appreciating the continued efforts of Harry for the country, he accidentally described him as a USA "citizen."

The slip of the tongue came after Prince Harry shared his side of the story about when he started to travel the world and what it had taught him.

King Charles's clarification on Prince Harry's royal status

So far, it has been reported that the Duke of Sussex, who was recently declared a "private citizen" of the UK by King Charles, was not accompanied by his family, as they were thought to have remained at their new UK home.

For the unversed, since Sussexes returned their way back to the British soil, it has been speculated whether they will resume their life in UK as royals or what.

However, clearing the air His Majesty has explained in his letter that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will remain as 'non-working royals' and will be 'private citizens' of the country, which they left nearly six years ago.
