Meghan reacts after Prince Harry takes major risk during Toronto charity challenge

Prince Harry risks it all during his daring trip to Toronto, and his wife, Meghan Markle, couldn't keep calm. 

After his short tour of New York City, the Duke of Sussex landed in Canada to participate in a daring engagement on Friday, September 25th, 2026.  

Harry took part in a daring skydive outside Toronto alongside a 102-year-old World War II veteran, Ed Marshall's grandson, Bailey Marshall, who participated with the estranged member of the British Royal Family on behalf of his grandfather. 

A heartfelt promise 

During the Duke's visit to the veterans centre at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto last November, he crossed paths with Ed, where he made a promise with the former military official to jump out of a plane together. 

Unfortunately, due to medical precautions, Ed was not allowed to take part in the daring challenge, so Harry kept his promise by taking his grandchild alongside him. 

After completing his challenge, which reportedly held Meghan Markle's breath on a video call, Harry encouraged Ed's passion, saying, "Ed's been really excited about this. There's no version where you can let a 102-year-old veteran down."

Speaking with CTV, Harry jokingly revealed his life partner's reaction and how he convinced her to take on the risky challenge.  

"I didn't have to convince her, but she was relieved once we were down; it took quite a while to get up, so I think she was like, 'Are they down yet? Are they down yet?" the 42-year-old added. 

During his surprise Canadian visit, Prince Harry additionally shed light on his life back in the United Kingdom with his wife and two kids, Prince Archie, seven, and Princess Lilibet, five.

"It's been great. It's been great to be back on British soil; it's great to be back on terra firma, actually," the father of two added.

This update came after Prince Harry's continuous engagements, due to which he travelled back to the USA and spent two days there without his family. 

Now, the charity skydive is one of many of his first series of public appearances since he and Meghan returned to the UK, for an extended stay. 

They arrived back on British soil in August before commemorating the late Princess Diana’s 29th death anniversary.

Notably, the Sussexes were also branded as "private citizens" by King Charles III in clarification of their royal status.
