The cause of Sean “Diddy” Combs’ head injury that reportedly sent him to hospital has been revealed.
As reported by Page Six, a source shared that the disgraced music mogul knocked his head against the bunk above him, but his condition has improved since the incident.
TMZ previously reported that the rapper was taken to a nearby medical facility from Fort Dix federal prison on Sunday after experiencing a medical emergency.
The source previously told the outlet that Combs was rushed by ambulance from prison at about 1 a.m. Saturday for treatment of an injury that was not life-threatening.
He was said to have been conscious and speaking following the alleged incident.
A rep for the Grammy winner said, “We are aware of the reports concerning Sean Combs and are working to confirm the circumstances.”
“Sean’s health and well-being are our immediate concern,” they continued, before adding, “and we appreciate everyone who has reached out.”
Charges on Sean 'Diddy' Combs
Combs was convicted on two counts of transportation for prostitution and sentenced to 50 months in prison in October 2025.
He has repeatedly denied wrongdoing.
In September 2026, NBC News reported that four anonymous prisoners claimed he enjoyed a “pampered” life behind bars, with others cleaning and cooking for him.
The outlet also reported that Bad Boy Records founder had access to “some rich s–t,” including premium liquor, antidepressants and a cellphone.
“This is not some normal s–t you see in jail,” the source divulged. “It looks crazy, but again, it’s Diddy.”
Following the reports, Combs was reportedly sent back to solitary confinement and at the time it was confirmed that his prison release date had been delayed from January 21, 2028, to March 2, 2028.
