King Charles III is seemingly pleased with the public peace offering from Prince Harry to his estranged brother, Prince William.
The Duke of Sussex, who declared himself a private citizen despite his return to the UK after six years with his family, has publicly addressed the long-running rift between him and his only sibling.
King Charles breaks silence after Harry's first olive branch to Prince William
While the Royal Family, including Prince William, are busy hosting a State Visit for the Omani Sultan at Windsor Castle, the father of two dominated the headlines with his unexpected confession.
In a video interview with GQ's Zach Baron, the 42-year-old distant royal family member responded to the "complicated relationship" he has been sharing with his cancer-stricken father and brother.
Reflecting on the grieving equation with William and Charles, Harry broke his silence, saying, "Yes, of course, a massively relatable issue for so many people."
After the confession, Buckingham Palace shared a welcoming update on the official Instagram account of the Royal Family, sharing His Majestys first statement since Harry’s family rift admission.
Accompanying a heartwarming footage of the King "formally welcoming" his key guest for the State Visit at the Windsor Castle, alongside, Her Majesty, Queen Camilla, Kate Middleton and Prince of Wales.
"The Sultan of Oman has been formally welcomed to the United Kingdom by the King and Queen at Windsor Castle. The Sultan joined Their Majesties in a carriage procession through the town of Windsor, before reviewing a Guard of Honour in the Quadrangle of Windsor Castle," the royal message noted.
Notably, the statement is seen as a welcoming update after Harry publicly offered peace with William despite his cold reaction to his UK return with his wife and his two children, Prince Archie, seven, Princess Lilibet, five.
Prince Harry revealed Prince William's estrangement comes as a grief to him
In the latest conversation, the Duke of Sussex explained, "That continues to come up with me the whole time by people that I speak to. So I know how relatable it is. That’s probably why there’s so much fascination."
"And then people maybe look at us and go, ‘How are you going to work it out?" Meghan Markle's husband said in a pre-recorded video interview, which he reportedly filmed when he first touched down on British soil in September of this year.
So far, neither King Charles III nor the Prince of Wales have officially responded to Prince Harry’s another attempt to mend the old fences.
For the unversed, the two brothers have been estranged after the Duke of Sussex publicly called the future monarch "bald" and made shocking accusations in his 2021 publication, Spare.
