Farah Khan has revealed astonishing details from Rakhi Sawant’s Main Hoon Na audition, where she showed up in a burqa for testing as the film’s steamy babe.
According to Indian Express, the director recently sat for an interview with Mukesh Chhabra, where she recalled, “Rakhi turned up in a burqa. The assistant was wary as it was the hot girl’s role.”
“However, in her typical style, she told him to roll the camera. Then she took off the burqa, making the entire camera shake as she was wearing a bikini underneath,” the filmmaker added.
Touching on their collaboration experience, Farah said, “She was lovely to work with. Her only request was to make her stand next to Shah Rukh or behind him in a song. She was happy with that.”
Despite acing the screen try-out, someone else was initially selected for the role as Rakhi had her hair dyed in orange color, which was not suitable.
Farah mentioned, “We didn’t cast her immediately as she had orange hair but once she came to Darjeeling, our worry was how to cover her up. I was giving her sweaters and berets and she wanted to expose. I had to tell her you will look lovely like this as well.”
She further stated that the other actress was ultimately dropped for becoming too demanding.
