Tooba Siddiqui steps into writing and production with debut project ‘Gumn’

Prominent Pakistani model turned actress Tooba Siddiqui has been gearing up for making her writing debut with latest thriller drama serial Gumn.

The Dobara Phir Se actress, who has been away from TV screens for a while, will be seen in Geo Entertainment’s drama serial Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 in a impactful role.

However, taking a shift from acting, Siddiqui has turned into writer and producer for upcoming project. The 13-episode thriller drama will be directed by renowned Pakistani filmmaker Sarmad Khoosat.

In conversation with local media outlets, the Dushman-e-Jaan actress revealed, “the project is called Gumn (lost), a 13-episode thriller drama. We are shooting as we speak. It is not your typical drama. This medium is very different with lots of treatment. It will run on a new channel called GREEN,” she added.

The cast of the upcoming drama includes, Feroz Kadri, Furqan Qureshi, Zara Tareen, Usman Peerzada, Sohail Sameer and Agha Mustafa in addition to multiple guest appearances.

The project is co-produced by Erum Binte Shahid and Siddiqui herself, and is expected to release in September this year.
