Rahat Fateh Ali Khan breaks silence on Dubai arrest rumors

Rahat Fateh Ali Khan was reportedly arrested over a defamation case

Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has clarified the speculations regarding his alleged arrest.

On his Instagram account on Monday, July 22, the iconic singer shared a video from Dubai to dismiss his arrest rumors and ask the fans not to pay attention to such news.

In the video, the Afreen Afreen hitmaker revealed that he had not been arrested but had undergone standard airport checks and routine questioning.

"News circulating regarding the arrest of Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is fake and baseless. Regards, team RFAK," wrote the singer.

The Zindagi Kuch Toh Bata singer said that he went to Dubai to record songs and everything is fine.

"I request that you not pay any attention to disgusting rumors. These reports are not true, and there is nothing like what the enemies are thinking," said Khan in the video.

The singer also disclosed that he will be returning to the country soon, bringing more superhit songs.

He further continued to add, "You are my power. My audience and fans are my power. After God, my fans are my power, and I love them. Thank you very much."

For those unaware, Khan's former manager, Salman Ahmed, filed complaints against him over criminal defamation charges with the Dubai authorities earlier this month, which the singer has denied.

The singer was reportedly arrested as soon as he reached the airport from Lahore for a musical collaboration and was released after securing bail.
