John Goodman has raised concerns with a shocking body transformation.
The legendary American actor – who has been away from the spotlight for some time- has made an unexpected return to the headlines, leaving the internet in a frenzy.
On Friday, August 7th, Selena Gomez's off-screen dad on The Wizards of Waverley Place, David de Luise, turned to his Instagram account to share a fresh selfie with Goodman.
In the new picture, the veteran actor looked unrecognizable as the television actor, who was recently dropped from the fourth instalment of the iconic show, called him his legend.
"He was my childhood !! Legend! I love that I get to say that to someone. If you know you know," David wrote alongside the selfie.
Fans' raise concerns
As the snap featuring David and John made it to the Gram, fans were equally delighted to see Goodman doing well and expressed their admiration for him in the comments, with one calling the iconic actor "one of my favourite 80s/90s tv dads."
One fan commented, "He’s great! And a St. Louisan. Is high school drama teacher who also directed me in community theatre and helped me on my way to college."
"Awesome. Are you grocery shopping without a store map? I was grocery shopping with my 93-year-old dad and told him about your La Comer store “ map," another said.
Meanwhile, a third gushed, "Yupp! Got to work with him on The Conners just before the pandemic and it’s a week I’ll never forget. I see two legends here!"
"Legend! There was nothing more surreal than growing up associating him with Monsters Inc and then watching The Big Lebowski as an adult," a fourth noted.
While several others raised concerns with his shocking weight loss journey, as another asked, "Is that John Goodman???? He's unrecognizable," one more added, "He's so much skinnier than I remember seeing him!"
He last spoke about his addiction to alcohol and his decision to go sober, "It was getting to be too much. It was 30 years of a disease that was taking its toll on everyone around me, and it had got to the point where, every time I did it, it was becoming more and more debilitating."
So far, John Goodman has yet to respond to these ongoing fans’ concerns.
