Bret Michaels is off the road again!
The Fallen Angel singer’s Michaels Entertainment Group took to his official Instagram account on Saturday, August 22, to share a heartbreaking update, reporting that he was forced to axe his Live and Amplified Tour due to a sad reason.
In an official statement, they shared that Bret’s recent surgeries, including emergency procedure for severe kidney stone, have been the reason behind the cancellation as his doctors have advised plenty of rest.
“Following Bret Michaels’ comeback show at @thebowlatsugarhill, doctors and paramedics determined immediately after the show that he still needs additional rest and recovery from his recent surgeries. Bret will be taking the next several months off to heal and get back to 100%,” the statement read.
It continued, “Dr. Abby Borhan and Dr. Patel stated, ‘We will be pulling Bret off the road for the time being. He wanted to attempt this show, but we feel there is a much-needed period of rest and slow recovery ahead, especially considering the heat and humidity during the summer months and the effect it can have on his blood sugar levels.’”
The group went on to write, “Our deepest apologies from Michaels Entertainment Group, as we were truly looking forward to the rest of this year’s shows, including @the_mountain_music_festival, private events and all the great shows coming up. We now look ahead and to Bret being able to return healthy, strong and ready to rock.”
Michaels statement comes just a day after he delivered an exciting concert in Sugar Hill, Georgia, on Friday, August 21.
The concert came after multiple postponements due to the singer’s health battles, as he recently underwent surgeries for severe kidney stone.
