Buckcherry has broken its silence after a tragic incident.
In an upsetting news shared by Page Six, it was reported that the 2000s rock band was involved in a fatal multi-vehicle crash that resulted in the death of one person.
The deadly collision took place in the early hours of Friday at around 2 a.m. on a highway in South Carolina.
While, no Buckcherry members were injured, Fox Carolina shared that a person who had stopped on the highway and exited their vehicle was killed in the crash.
According to the South Carolina Department of Transportation, the pedestrian was hit and killed on I-26 East near mile marker 31. The person, whose name has not been released, had gotten out of their vehicle before being struck by a Toyota sedan and were pronounced dead at the scene.
It is pertinent to mention that the collision occurred in front of Buckcherry’s tour bus. However, it was not caused by it.
Following the incident, the band took to its official Instagram Stories to release a statement, mourning the tragic loss of life.
“We are extremely grateful to report that all members of Buckcherry and our touring crew are safe and unharmed. Tragically, authorities have confirmed that the collision that occurred ahead of our bus resulted in a fatality,” read the statement.
They continued, “Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with the family and loved ones of the person who lost their life. We sincerely appreciate everyone who has reached out with concern and support.”
The deadly crash took place as members of the band, including Josh Todd, Stevie D., Kelly LeMieux, Francis Ruiz, and Billy Rowe, were travelling for their Roar Like Thunder Tour.
Buckcherry is now set to perform in Key West, Florida, on Sunday, August 23, 2026.
