Miley Cyrus is grieving her beloved godmother’s death.
Just a day after Dolly Parton’s death, the Flowers hitmaker stepped out for the first time in Los Angeles on Wednesday, August 26, appearing visibly devastated.
According to TMZ, Cyrus was seen arriving at an LA recording studio after receiving the heart-wrenching news.
In the photos shared by the outlet, the Wrecking Balls singer was seen in an all-black outfit, seemingly as a gesture of mourning.
She wore a black T-shirt with matching pants and donned black sunglasses and bag while carrying a cup of coffee.
“It looks like Miley was gearing up to film something ... there's a mic clipped to her shirt collar, and she walked in with a man holding what appears to be a handheld piece of audio equipment. It's unclear what she may be filming,” noted the outlet.

Taking to her official Instagram handle on the same day, Miley Cyrus posted a deeply emotional tribute, expressing grief over her godmother Dolly Parton’s death.
“The feeling of losing my Aunt Dolly is beyond what feels right to share. Our most sacred moments were private and they’ll stay there behind the stage, beneath the glamour & between our hearts,” she began.
Cyrus continued, “What I KNOW is Dolly would want me to feel it, write a song about it, and then continue on and be strong. I have an angel by my side. I always have. One of our last conversations was about music and metamorphosis.”
“I will always love her and want to make her proud. My heart breaks for the world, her family and friends who will miss her deeply. We’re in this loss together and we will see her in all of the most beautiful things. @dollyparton,” the Hannah Montana star concluded.
