The legendary British actor Tim Curry has been died at the age of 80 after struggling with health issues for years.

Inside sources confirmed to TMZ that the actor – who was best known for playing Dr. Frank-N-Furter in the cult classic The Rocky Horror Picture breathed his last on late Tuesday night at his Los Angeles home.

Citing the Law enforcement sources, the aforementioned outlet further confirmed that police responded to his house at 11:23 PM Tuesday night.

The report also confirmed that there is no foul play suspected in Tim Curry’s death.

Tim Curry’s health woes and cause of death

Although Tim Curry’s cause of death remains unclear as of now, the actor – who never got married and has no children suffered a major stroke in 2012.

The actor remained on wheelchair since suffering the stroke and shifted his focus to voiceover projects only.

Inside early days of Tim’s acting career

Tim was born in the UK in 1946, he kicked of his acting career in 1968 with his first stage gig Hair, after completing his education at the Birmingham University.

While The Rocky Horror Picture Show was Tim’s first breakthrough as TV actor. 

His acting credits also include the role of a terrifying clown, Pennywise in the 1990 adaptation of Stephen King's It.

Fans also remember Tim as Mr. Hector in Home Alone 2: Lost in New York and other acting projects including, Annie, Clue, Scary Movie 2, The Hunt for Red October, Muppet Treasure Island and Addams Family Reunion.
