Miley Cyrus has finally broken her silence on the death of her beloved aunt, Dolly Parton.
The Used To Be Young songstress touched the heart strings of her followers with a touching tribute for the legendary singer and songwrite, Dolly - who passed away at 80 on August 25, 2026.
Sharing a black-and-white photo of the Jolene singer, Miley wrote, "The feeling of losing my Aunt Dolly is beyond what feels right to share."
She went on to express, "Our most sacred moments were private and they’ll stay there behind the stage, beneath the glamour & between our hearts."
Hinting at a potential song for her beloved godmother and aunt, the Flowers hitmaker added, "What I KNOW is Dolly would want me to feel it, write a song about it, and then continue on and be strong."
"I have an angel by my side. I always have. One of our last conversations was about music and metamorphosis," she confessed.
The grammy-winner further admitted that "I will always love her and want to make her proud. My heart breaks for the world, her family and friends who will miss her deeply."
Before concluding her tribute, the pop icon confessed, "We’re in this loss together and we will see her in all of the most beautiful things."
