Amanda Seyfried and Thomas Sadoski have finally parted ways after 9 years of marriage.

As per PEOPLE, the Housemaid star and the Loser star confirmed their split in a joint statement, saying they have been separated “for a while” and that the decision has ultimately been the right one for their family.

“We have been separated for a while, and it’s proven to be the right move for us and our family unit. We’ve got each other forever—and it’s GOOD,” Seyfried and Sadoski said in their statement.

Seyfried, 40, and Sadoski, 50 made their first interaction in 2015 while starring together in the off-Broadway play The Way We Get By.

They crossed paths again later that year while filming The Last Word, playing a couple on screen.

Their fictional romance soon turned real as it was confirmed at the time that they were dating in March 2016.

The couple got engaged later that year and quietly eloped in March 2017.

“We eloped. We just took off into the country with an officiant and, just the two of us, and we did our thing,” Sadoski said at the time.

He added, “It was beautiful. It was everything that it should be. It was just the two of us talking to each other.”

Just days after their wedding, the couple welcomed daughter Nina, followed by son Thomas Jr. in September 2020.

The family largely kept their life private, settling on a farm in upstate New York, while Seyfried occasionally shared glimpses of their children, animals and charity work supporting children affected by conflict.

In January 2026, Seyfried praised Sadoski’s support for her career, telling Vogue that her husband “sacrifices a lot for me” as she took on several major projects.

She also recently shared a playful photo of Sadoski with a gecko on Instagram, calling him a “#reptiledad.”
