Sabrina Carpenter opened up about her views on attraction amid her building romance with actor Berry Keoghan.
During her conversation with Cosmopolitan UK, on newsstand Tuesday, the Espresso singer shared about her romantic life.
Carpenter talked about the qualities that attract her to a romantic partner and her perspective on dating, which she characterizes as “fun” and “messy.”
She said, “Contrary to popular opinion, I don’t think I have a type.”
The Tall Girl actress added, “But the internet loves to just put pictures next to each other of men who have the same hair color.”
Carpenter mentioned that she finds romantic interests with similar qualities to her friends appealing.
She continued, "I want to be with someone who’s going to be one of my best friends. So a lot of it is energy and humour and being genuine. I will say I’ve always connected more with people who are really in touch with their emotions.”
Carpenter also discussed the dating process, saying "a lot of it, for me, has been fate."
"I know that’s super broad, but I don’t actively look for it. The relationships that I actually want to put my energy into have to be so interesting or invigorating because they take me away from the other things I love,” she noted.
Her interview came after the Non-Sense singer and the Saltburn star made an appearance at the Met Gala.
To note, Sabrina Carpenter is romantically linked with Irish actor Barry Keoghan, 31, they are together since 2023.
They confirmed their relationship in February when they were spotted kissing after leaving a hotel in Los Angeles.
