As the election season heats up, various rumours and claims have started circulating on social media.

Recently, a social media account with over 500,000 followers on X (formerly Twitter) announced that Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow participated in a fundraising call for "White Dudes for Harris," supporting Kamala Harris.

However, upon further investigation, it seems this rumour is unfounded.

Awful Announcing reached out to the Cincinnati Bengals to confirm Burrow's involvement, and the team clarified that he was not present on the call.

Despite Burrow's absence, the fundraiser successfully raised about $3.7 million.

While, Burrow has generally stayed away from political discussions, he has previously expressed his views on social issues.

In June 2022, following the overturn of Roe v. Wade, he voiced support for abortion rights on Instagram. He also addressed gun control at a press conference that summer.
