On Wednesday, August 1, the Point Me 2 rapper took legal steps to divorce her estranged husband Offset; Page Six was the first to report.
Although not much information was shared on the matter, it was confirmed by a source that Cardi B is seeking primary custody of their children and will be standing firm on her decision this time.
To note, the Punteria rapper first filed for divorce from Offset in September 2020, but reconciled after a month.
As per an insider-disclosed revelation, the Grammy winner’s decision was not solely based on the latest infidelity rumors but had additional reasons as well, reported the outlet.
“They’ve grown apart. That’s what drove her to this decision more than anything else. This is something she wants to do,” claimed the source.
Since the onset of their marriage, there have been persistent rumors regarding the Worth It rapper’s unfaithfulness.
Moreover, the latest rumors sparked after the Migos rapper was spotted publicly with a woman he apparently dated in the past.
With the ongoing speculations about Cardi’s third pregnancy, a source told that the rapper’s top priority is to secure “primary custody” of her kids.
“It’s not something that happened overnight. They’ve both been on the same page. There wasn’t [pushback]. They’ve grown apart, and that feeling has gotten stronger over time. It’s become unavoidable,” the insider revealed regarding the divorce news.
