The world’s most hated countries in 2025 have been revealed, and China and the United States have taken the top spots.
A map created by Newsweek on the World Population Review's research for this year "by combining reports and public opinion surveys on the subject from all around the globe" has found that the most hated country in the world in 2025 is China.
The United States, which has begun a tense global trade war, was the second most hated country, while Russia, which is currently in a war with Ukraine, got the third spot.

The World Population Review says, “No matter where they live in the world, most people have specific views on other countries. These views can be influenced by many possible factors, from the actions of a country's government or military to its dominant culture and religion or even the behaviour of its tourists.”
“While no definitive, data-based list of the most hated countries in the world exists, by combining reports and public opinion surveys on the subject from all around the globe, certain trends definitely emerge," it added.
