Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei reportedly called out for a legal action “international criminals and global aggressors.”

As per Iranian state media cited the supreme leader saying, “The blood of those killed in the two wars of aggression against Iran – waged by the United States and Israel in June 2025 and February 2026 – together with the physical, psychological, material, and spiritual damage inflicted on Iran and its people inside and outside the country, forms the basis for hundreds or even thousands of significant legal cases.”

“What is certain is that the criminals must be brought to justice and made to face the consequences of their criminal acts,” he added.

The statement comes amid continued launching missile and drone strikes targeting US allies Kuwait and Bahrain, prompting the US to launch a second round of air strikes, which were also retaliated against by the Iranians.

Recently, the Former US Ambassador Barbara Leaf stated the Iran-US memorandum of understanding remains in an “exceptionally fragile state”, arguing that intensified conflict was prompted by Tehran’s actions in the Gulf.

In an interview with Al Jazeera, Leaf stated Iran initially launched “rhetorical verbal attacks on Oman” for helping the passage of ships, ahead of which Tehran decided to attack a commercial vessel in the vital waterway.

The former US assistant secretary of state stated the ceasefire deal recognises Muscat’s contribution to maritime security. “It is nonsense that Iran should have control over Omani sovereign waters, let alone what passes through them,” she stated.

Meanwhile, Israel continues to launch strikes on Lebanon, which is constantly being criticized by Iran.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated all aspects of the memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed with the United States must be honoured, including the clauses on Lebanon.

Araghchi stated, “Regrettably, the Zionist entity continues its air strikes on Lebanon.”

Washington “should live up to its responsibility and force” Israel to end its attacks on Lebanon to end the war, he added.

Moreover, Araghchi also called on Washington to push Israel to withdraw from the areas it has been occupying in Lebanon.

Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and the EU’s foreign policy chief, Kaja Kallas, have “reviewed the rapidly evolving regional situation”, as per the Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry, continuing its role of key mediator, aiming to resolve the four-month long war.

Trump threatens Iran once again

On the other hand, the US President Trump has once again threatened Iran but one analyst says he shouldn’t be taken too seriously.

Taking to TruthSocial on Saturday, Trump stated, “There may come a point when we are no longer able to be reasonable, and will be forced to militarily complete the job that we very successfully started. If that happens, the Islamic Republic of Iran will no longer exist.”

US-Iran accused each other of ceasefire violation

Iran on Sunday condemned US airstrikes carried out a day earlier, describing them as a "clear violation" of the June 18 ceasefire memorandum of understanding between Washington and Tehran. In a statement, the Iranian Foreign Ministry said the strikes demonstrated that "the US regime places no value on its commitments and that breaking promises is part of this regime's nature."
