Apple has officially launched iOS 27, bringing a new comprehensive suite of AI-powered features and upgrades alongside the iPhone 18 Pro and the company’s latest foldable iPhone Duo.
A significant highlight is the upgraded Siri that utilises Apple Intelligence to provide cutting-edge assistance.

The recently introduced Siri can assist users write text, edit photos, create custom shortcuts and perform a range of tasks across the company’s apps.
Notably, the iOS 27 also brings major practical enhancements. The Cupertino-based tech giant has diversified its Liquid Glass design with the latest customisation options, while users can now set individual alarm volumes independently of their iPhone’s overall sound level.
Another new feature, iPhone Hand Off, enables users to use the same phone number across two iPhones.

Initially, the iPhone Hand Off feature will be accessible to T-Mobile customers, with Verizon and other carriers expected to follow.
Additionally, Apple is introducing photo sharing. Shared iCloud albums can now include Android and Windows users and support full-resolution images.
Users can also save individual frames from videos directly as photos without taking screenshots.
Additional updates include the latest transition options in Apple Music, enhanced podcast search via Siri, keyboards supporting extra indigenous languages and improved parental controls for children’s accounts.
iOS 27 has also brought enhancements to the Health app, which is mainly focused on menopause and perimenopause.
How to get iOS 27?
It is pertinent to mention iOS 27 will be available for compatible iPhones starting September 14.
Users can easily download it by launching Settings > General > Software Update. Moreover, Mac users can install macOS 27, known as “Golden Gate,” while iPad users will receive many of the new features through iPadOS 27.
