Prince William set for major move to snub Prince Harry on his special day

Prince William has seemingly found a new way to snub his estranged brother, Prince Harry, on his big day.

The Prince of Wales has confirmed his scheduled royal duties on the same day as his only sibling, who will mark his first birthday in the United Kingdom in nearly six years, celebrates his 42nd birthday.

Over the weekend, GB News revealed that William, 44, is set to travel to the remote Dartmoor village of Princetown on September 15th.

During his royal tour, His Royal Highness will officially unveil The Princetown Community Fund, a new regeneration initiative making a minimum of £250,000 available for community-driven projects.

Prince William as Duke of Cornwall

Stepping into his Duke of Cornwall role, he will support the fund that aims to target his ruling area's social, economic, and environmental schemes in the isolated moorland settlement.

Before announcing his new engagement, it was reported that William would stop taking personal income from the prison's controversial £1.5million yearly rent, having requested that the sum be stripped from his Duchy of Cornwall earnings from the 2026-27 financial year.

However, the future monarch has introduced a fantastic strategy, as the amount will now instead be channelled into revitalising the local area.

Another probe by Dispatches and The Sunday Times in 2024 revealed that the Duchy had struck a £ 37 million agreement in 2022 to lease the category C prison to the Ministry of Justice.

The deals were reportedly signed before King Charles III had taken the oath as new British monarch after the passing of his late mother, Queen Elizabeth II, and before William inherited the Duchy.

As part of his visit, Prince William will also spend his day by speaking to the residents who have contributed to shaping a collective vision for the village’s future.

How will Prince William snub Prince Harry on his special day?

What is pertinent to note is that the next heir to the British throne has not just planned his day with the hectic royal engagement; this move also indicates that he has not only prepared but is ready to mend his fences with Prince Harry, who has returned to British soil.

Prince William, who has not spoken to the Duke of Sussex since 2022, has not even responded to the arrival of his brother alongside his two kids, Prince Archie, seven, and Princess Lilibet, five.
