Finally after three years of wait, fans are set to witness Shah Rukh Khan spread his magic on big screen once again with his anticipated movie King.
However, the upcoming movie, which is scheduled to hit cinemas in December 2026 – exactly three years after the release of Dunki in December 2023 – is expected to clash with two eagerly-awaited massive Hollywood projects, Avengers: Doomsday and Dune: Part 3, at the box office.
This major clash has left fans wondering if the makers of King will change its release date, as Indian movies have recently been shifting their release dates to avoid clashes with major projects.
During a Monday, September 14 #AskSRK session on X, Shah Rukh Khan held a Q&A session with fans, answering their questions on the social media platform.
In one of the tweets, a fan asked, “SRK Sir King is stuck in a 'sandwich' situation, will the date change? @iamsrk.”
The Veer Zaara actor, who is well-known for his witty sense of humor, dismissed the speculation, replying, “Not at all… Think about the other bread pieces too… We are the tasty Tikki in the center,” suggesting that the movie is so exciting that he does not need to worry about which films will clash with it.
It is worth noting that that King is slated to release on December 24, while Avengers: Doomsday and Dune: Part 3 both are scheduled for December 18 premiere.
As the movie is now just 100 days away from its release, one of the fans asked King Khan what element of the movie is he eager to show the audience the most.
“Everything in King ...worked very hard to entertain as many as possible. The action the songs the actors and of course my hair!!!” he replied.
