King Charles, who has been juggling cancer battle and royal duties for past two months is said to be “frustrated” over the new face of “monarchy.”

As reported by The New York Post, Grant Harrold, who assisted King Charles for seven years, when the 75-year-old was the Prince of Wales, revealed what the monarch is going through.

Referring to the current situation of the monarchy, with the Princess of Wales Kate Middleton also fighting her own cancer battle, Harrold said, “Behind closed doors, it’s all a bit of a muddle.”

He added, “obviously the King is trying to get better, that’s going to be the big focus.”

“I think Charles will find it very frustrating that he’s not able to work as much, I can believe that — I know what he’s like, he’s a workaholic, I’m sure that will be frustrating," Harrold told the outlet.

As both the King and Princess Kate, being out of the royal scene, “the monarchy is working at 50% capacity right now,” Harrold noted

Grant Harrold also admitted that, “Even though you have all the other royals standing in, it’s not the same, I can imagine it’s a bit of a nightmare behind closed doors for the actual firm as such.”

“The face of the monarchy at the moment is not how it should be,” added the royal expert.

For the unversed, King Charles was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer after he underwent enlarge prostate treatment in January.

Meanwhile, Kate Middleton also went through an abdominal surgery, which was followed by a shocking cancer diagnosis.

The princess is currently going through the prevented chemotherapy.
