King Charles’ funeral plans are being regularly updated in the wake of his declining health amid cancer diagnosis.
As reported by The Daily Beast, the Buckingham palace insiders have exclusively revealed that the officials are regularly updating the monarch’s funeral plans ‘Operation Menai Bridge’ as his situation is “not good.”
A source close to the royal family explained, “Of course, he is determined to beat it and they are throwing everything at it. Everyone is staying optimistic, but he is really very unwell. More than they are letting on.”
Although, King Charles never revealed the type of cancer he is diagnosed with, his advisors have been reviewing the several-hundred-page document of his funeral plans called “Operation Menai Bridge,” preparations on which began after the burial of Queen Elizabeth in 2022.
“The plans have been dusted off and are actively being kept up to date. It’s no more than what you would expect given the king has been diagnosed with cancer. But the circulation of them has certainly focused minds,” a former staffer told the outlet.
To note, the detailed document of the "Operation Menai Bridge" was created following the longest-serving queen’s funeral as guide the day after Queen Elizabeth was buried on September 8, 2022.
