Princess Beatrice is said to be left “heartbroken” after news about the death of her ex-boyfriend, Paolo Liuzzo, broke out today, on Thursday 25.

It was on February 7, 2024, that he was found dead in a Miami hotel sometime after 3 pm, and as per The Sun, the cause of his death has been suspected to be a drug overdose by Miami Police Department.

Although the actual reason hasn’t been revealed because of Florida law, Officer Michael Vega has stated that the case “was investigated as an overdose death” and that inquiry is still open.

A close friend told the same media portal that Paolo was habitual of dozing up and had large gambling debts knocked against him

“He loved to party and gamble. He began using a lot of pharmaceutical drugs, but that later led to cocaine and harder drugs. It was a very fast lifestyle and we all feared it would catch up with him eventually,” the unnamed source gave away.

Meanwhile, Prince Andrew and Sarah’s elder daughter, Princess Beatrice, has been “heartbroken” from Paolo’s shocking demise as he used to be her boyfriend.

The two had started dating in 2005 when she was only 17, whereas he was 24.

Their relationship was picked up by the media when Paolo traveled with the Royal Family for a holiday in Switzerland, but it later emerged that he had accompanied them to oppose “a probation order related to the manslaughter of a student during a drunken fight in Worcester four years previously.”

Later that year, Princess Beatrice had put a full stop to seeing him, but is still left “shaken” by the death news.
