Turkey has halted all trade activities with Israel over the ‘worsening humanitarian tragedy’ in Gaza.

According to Al Jazeera, the Turkish Ministry of Trade, in a statement on Thursday, announced, “Export and import transactions related to Israel have been stopped, covering all products.”

The ministry added, “Turkey will strictly and decisively implement these new measures until the Israeli Government allows an uninterrupted and sufficient flow of humanitarian aid to Gaza.”

This announcement came after Israel’s Mister for Foreign Affairs, Israel Katz, said that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is blocking ports for Israeli import and export.

Israel Katz posted on X (formerly Twitter), “@RTErdogan is breaking agreements by blocking ports for Israeli imports and exports.”

He expressed his anger, saying, “This is how a dictator behaves, disregarding the interests of the Turkish people and businessmen and ignoring international trade agreements.”

Katz furthered that he had instructed the foreign minister to find alternatives for trade with Turkey, with a focus on local production and imports from other countries.

Katz pledged, “Israel will emerge with a strong and daring economy. We Win, and They Lose.”
