As per Essentially Sports, despite a season marked by disappointments in trophy pursuits, the Portuguese striker seems determined to continue his mission in the Middle East.
The news, broken by respected journalist Ben Jacobs that Ronaldo, aged 39, is inclined to prolong his tenure with the Knights of the Najd.
His current contract with the club is set to expire in the summer of 2025, but discussions hint at an extension possibly till 2026 and beyond.
This decision comes amid a season where Ronaldo, under the leadership of coach Luis Castro, couldn't secure any major silverware for Al Nassr.
Despite their efforts, the team fell short in the Roshn Saudi League, with rivals Al Hilal clinching the title.
Meanwhile, they were also knocked out of the AFC Champions League and the Saudi Super Cup.
Luckily, hope remains to avoid a trophyless season as they are currently in the finals of the King’s Cup of Champions.
Moreover, Ronaldo's stellar performance this campaign, boasting 42 goals and 12 assists in over 41 appearances, underscores his commitment to the team's success.
However, with talks of contract extension circulating, fans anticipate further opportunities for Ronaldo to lead Al Nassr to significant victories.
