The chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Mohsin Naqvi, has stopped the announcement of much-awaited Pakistan’s cricket team squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024 in June.

As per Geo Super sources, Naqvi is not happy over the fact that proper meetings were not held before finalizing the T20 World Cup squad.

However, it is also reported that the chairman did not raise any objections over the players selected for the squad.

Naqvi has also written a letter to the selection committee members in an attempt to ask for clarification on the matter.

According to the sources, Naqvi is also unhappy about the fact that the minutes of the meetings held by the selection committee were not shared with him.

Sources revealed that the squad for the T20 World Cup scheduled to begin on June 2, co-hosted by the United States and West Indies, will not be announced until and unless the selection committee completes the entire process.

It is also said that the required process will be completed within the next three hours, after which the squad will be announced.

It should be noted that the deadline for the announcement of squads is May 25, and changes after that will require approval from the ICC’s Event Technical Committee.
