Missouri state representative Banker’s daughter and son-in-law were killed in a gang attack while serving as missionaries.

The Republican lawmaker wrote on Facebook on Friday, May 24, “My heart is broken in a thousand pieces. I’ve never felt this kind of pain. Most of you know my daughter and son-in-law Davy and Natalie Lloyd are full-time missionaries in Haiti.”

He further informed, “They were attacked by gangs this evening and were both killed. They went to Heaven together. Please pray for my family. We desperately need strength. And please pray for the Lloyd family as well. I have no other words for now.”

As per New York Post, Natalie and Davy served in Port au Prince with Mission in Haiti Inc., which was founded by Davy’s parents in 2000.

The mission stated that they were leaving a youth church meeting when they ‘were ambushed by a gang of three trucks full of guys.’

According to the missionary’s statement, Lloyd was tied and beaten up before the gang allegedly looted the site and fled, only for another group to show up after them.

The mission further wrote, “This gang went into full attack mode,” the couple and mission director, Jude Montis, 20, took shelter in a house while the gang shot out all the windows. All three were shot and killed around 9 pm on Thursday.

Baker, on a social media post, expressed, “They went to Heaven together. Please pray for my family. We desperately need strength. And please pray for the Lloyd family as well. I have no other words for now.”
