Vice President Kamala Harris praised President Joe Biden's accomplishments during her first public remarks since his endorsement of her presidential candidacy on Monday.

Speaking at a White House event celebrating NCAA athletes, Harris lauded Biden's "unmatched legacy of accomplishment over the past three years."

She highlighted his honesty, integrity, commitment to faith and family, and his dedication to the American people.

Harris said, "I’ve seen firsthand how President Biden fights for the American people every day, and we are deeply grateful for his service."

She also mentioned that Biden, recovering from Covid-19, is eager to return to his duties.

Following Biden's announcement to withdraw from the 2024 presidential race and endorse Harris, she expressed her honour at receiving his support.

Meanwhile, many Democrats have rallied behind her, though some top congressional leaders have yet to formally endorse her.

However, she plans to address her candidacy and campaign strategy soon, including a visit to Wilmington, Delaware, to meet with her campaign team.
