Kamala Harris slams Donald Trump in fiery speech at debut rally

US vice president criticized Republican nominee for presidency over ‘fear and hate’

Democratic Party’s likely presidential nominee, Kamala Harris, bashes former President Donald Trump during her debut election rally at West Allis Central High School in a Milwaukee suburb in Wisconsin.

According to NBC News, the US vice president told the crowd of over 3,000 on Tuesday, July 23, “Donald Trump wants to take our country backward. Do we want to live in a country of freedom, compassion, and rule of law, or a country of chaos, fear, and hate?"

She also said that her campaign is ‘focused on the future,’ while Trump’s is ‘focused on the past.’

While referring to her time as a prosecutor, Harris asserted, “I took on perpetrators of all kinds. Predators who abused women, fraudsters who ripped off consumers. Cheaters who broke the rules for their own gain. So hear me when I say I know Donald Trump's type.”

The 59-year-old added, “The path to the White House goes through Wisconsin. You helped us win in 2020, and in 2024 we will win again."

Additionally, Harris also paid tribute to US President Joe Biden, who recently pulled out of the presidential race for ‘his continuing services’ for the nation.
