Waqar Younis is soon landing a significant position in PCB!

A source close to the renowned fast bowler has revealed that the former player, who has recently joined the PCB as an advisor to the chairman temporarily, is likely to become Chief Cricket Office of the Pakistan Cricket Board.

"Presently, he has been given the title of advisor to the chairman on cricket affairs. But a new position similar to the one that Rob Key has in the English cricket board is being created for him and would be approved by the Board of Governors," claimed the source.

Upon formalizing his appointment, Younis is expected to hold key responsibilities in the board, such as becoming part of the national selection committee and central contract matters.

The insider also revealed how the former bowler had recently collaborated with multiple departments in order to learn each and every detail regarding cricket, including international and domestic schedules, preparations, and strategies for upcoming international games and tests.

Younis, who has been the bowling and head coach of the Pakistani cricket team multiple times, has agreed to become a part of the board after his relocation from Australia to Lahore along with family.
