Earlier this week, the Hindu community celebrated their religious festival of Holi all around the world. While many international stars posted their pictures and videos of celebrating and enjoying the festivities of colors, Pakistani star couple Hira and Mani also participated in the fun festival.
Both, Hira and her husband Mani were spotted enjoying the festivities of colors and dancing their heart out in a party, organized by their friends to celebrate Holi.
The pictures of the couple throwing color and dancing went viral on the internet and left netizens in anger. Many internet users expressed their distress over Hira and Mani for celebrating the Hindu festival.
Commenting on their dance videos, the netizens called them out and referred to them as “hypocrites”.
One of the social media users wrote, “This should not allowed in muslim country pakistan …shamed on you all. [sic]”
While the couple was bashed for celebrating a Hindu festival, they were also lauded by others for showing support and welcoming gestures towards the Hindu community.
“Celebrating Holi doesn’t mean you are a Hindu. it’s a gesture of wishing them on their occasion. Please think positive”, wrote one internet user.
