Priyanka Chopra remembered Shashikala Om Prakash Saigal as the news of the veteran actress passing away surfaced on the news.
Priyanka Chopra took to her Instagram to pay homage to the legendary Shashikala as the Bollywood veteran actress passed away on April 4, 2021. The actress posted a black and white picture of the Shashikala Ji on her Instagram story and wrote a beautiful caption to pay tribute to the late actress.
“An actor par excellence, one of the greats of the golden era... she leaves behind an indelible mark on cinema. Honoured to have had the opportunity to work with her. Om Shanti #Shashikala ji,” Priyanka wrote.
The Quantico actress has worked closely with Bollywood’s legend Shashikala in 2004 during the shooting of Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, in which the late actress played the role of Salman Khan's character’s grandmother.
The iconic actress has worked in hundreds of Bollywood films and passed away at the age of 88.
Although Shashikala Ji’s immediate family has yet to confirm the news officially, many artists such as Lata Mangeshkar, Farhan Akhtar, Padmini Kolhapure, and Adnan Sami have penned down heartfelt tributes to the late actress.
