A spectacular new visualisation made by climate scientist Zeke Hausfather has revealed some alarming details about the rise in Earth's temperature.

As reported by CNN, the magnificent illustration, which looks like a flower blooming represent the heating of the planet.
The picture shows the increase in daily global temperatures between 1940 and the end of 2024, with the colour changing from blue to red and extreme scarlet representing global temperature ramping up.

According to Zeke, effective use of graphics can make climate change "more visceral and understandable."
Putting decades long data compact in an image shows how much the earth has actually warmed up compared to past years, "and how worryingly both 2023 and 2024 were compared to any prior years," the climate research lead at Berkeley noted.
Last year was recorded to be the hottest year in history and was the first year to breach 1.5 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels, breaking record of 2023.
Scientists are not able to fully explain why the planet is heating up so much, so fast in recent years, with the majority of the blame being put on burning of fossil fuel.
Zeke added, "Global warming has accelerated in recent years and poses a major threat to our livelihood and to the natural world if we do not take action to reduce emissions."

Notably, as the planet gets warmer, it also raise chances of natural disasters occurrence such as fires, floods, and storms.
