In a pre-recorded address marking the eve of Passover, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared that Israel has systematically dismantled the Iranian military threat, delivering what he described as “ten plagues” to Tehran and its regional proxies.
Drawing a direct parallel to the biblical story of Exodus, Netanyahu claimed that the “Axis of Resistance” is in a state of collapse following a month of intense US-Israel strikes known as Operation Epic Fury.
The Prime Minister listed the first five “plagues” as devastating blows to Hamas in Gaza, Hezbollah in Lebanon, the Houthis in Yemen, militants in the West Bank, and the ousted Assad regime in Syria.
He identified the remaining five as direct hits on Iran’s nuclear program, ballistic missile sites, regime infrastructure, internal security forces and its senior leadership.
According to Netanyahu, the strategic landscape has shifted permanently.
“Iran wanted to strangle us; we are now strangling Iran,” he asserted, adding that the Islamic Republic’s “trillion dollar” investment in weapons and proxy groups “has gone down the drain.”
While Netanyahu struck a triumphalist tone, stating that “the regime is weaker than ever and Israel is stronger than ever,” opposition leaders and international observers remain cautious.
Critics warn that despite these “plagues,” the threat of retaliatory cyber-attacks and regional instability persists as the conflict enters this high-stakes holiday period.
