Apple’s first foldable iPhone, the iPhone Duo, and Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 8 are going head-to-head in the latest era of foldable smartphone market, with just $100 separating their starting prices.

The iPhone Duo is available for $1,999 for the 256GB model, while the Galaxy Z Fold 8 costs $1,899.99 with the same storage capacity.
Apple’s 512GB version is priced at $2,199, while the 1TB model costs $2,500, 2TB variant for $3,199.
Samsung’s 512GB Galaxy Z Fold 8 is available for $2,099.99, while its 1TB model costs $2,499.99. The 1TB version also increases RAM from 12GB to 16GB.

Both phones entail 7.6-inch foldable displays.
Meanwhile, the iPhone Duo runs on iOS 27 and Apple’s A20 Pro chip, while Samsung’s foldable is integrated with Android 17 and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor.
The Cupertino-based tech giant's device measures 4.64 by 3.31 by 0.44 inches when folded and becomes 4.64 by 6.48 by 0.21 inches when unfolded.
