Kareena Kapoor relived memories from acting in the film

Kareena Kapoor has looked back to her 2006 flick, Omkara.

Recently, one of the star’s fan pages on Instagram sent a throwback to her role from the movie by making a montage of combining several scenes together.

The editor stapled, “Dolly deserved better,” on this clip, referring to the gloomy trajectory that was subjected to the character in particular.

Kareena then reshared the said post on her own Instagram profile, expressing, “God, how I loved playing Dolly,” sealed with a heart emoji.

She however didn't share any anecdotes.

Based on Othello, Omkara was director Vishal Bhardwaj’s fourth movie, which was the second standalone instalment in his trilogy of Shakespeare adaptations that started with Maqbool (2003) and was concluded by Haider (2014).

All three of these couldn’t perform well at the box office, but remain counted among Bollywood’s best productions ever.

Those who had watched these at the time of their theatrical debut had only uttered praises, although it was the kind of serious cinema that audiences didn’t enjoy sitting through back then, especially when no superstars were featured.

As years pass by, Vishal’s Shakespearean package gains more attention, and in turn, brings more fans to appreciate Kareena’s then-ignored character.
