Forbes has recently shared a list of the world’s ten highest-paid athletes in 2024, and Cristiano Ronaldo has topped the list for the fourth time in his career.
As per Forbes the Portuguese footballer became the world's highest-paid athlete after he became part of Saudi Arabian Al Nassr team.
The Al Nassr player’s total estimated earnings for the year were around $260m (£205m) which is the highest of all time for any footballer.
CR7's on-field earnings amounted to $200m (£158m) while off field he earned $60m (£47m).
Spanish golfer John Rahm took second place with $218m (£172m) and joined Ronaldo as the only two athletes to earn over $200m.
Ronaldo's football rival, Lionel Messi, is third on the list who has joined the major football league Inter Miami, which helped the Fifa World Cup winner to earn $135m (£107m).
The football star earned $65m (£51m) on-field while he made $70m (£55m) off-field through sponsorships.
LeBron James, Los Angeles forward came in fourth with the annual income of $128m (£101m) while fellow NBA star Giannis Antetokounmpo is fifth on the list with $111m (£88m).
