Jack Bezos again left Elon Musk behind and became the second richest person in the world on Wednesday, May 22, after his net worth spiked over $200 million.
According to Forbes, just a day after the billionaire Tesla owner Musk took over as the Amazon founder and the world's second richest person, Bezos reclaimed his title from Space X head.
But both the rivals are still trying Bernard Arnault, LVMH's head and the richest person in the world.
Bezos’ current net worth is $201.5 billion, as a result of a $511 million daily jolt driven in part by a climb in Amazon shares, which crawled up over 0.5% as of noon on Wednesday.
Musk’s net worth of $198.4 billion has put him in third place, following a drop in Tesla shares, which fell nearly 3% to roughly $181 per share on Wednesday morning.
It should be noted that Neuralink and X (formerly Twitter) heads have either topped or stood in the second spot in the Forbes’ real-time billionaire list from August 2021 to March 6, when Bezos knocked him down to third.
However, the world's richest person, LVMH magnate Bernard Arnault, had a net worth of roughly $205.9 billion.
