Elon Musk said no one of us will have jobs

Elon Musk has warned the world that artificial intelligence will soon take over all jobs.

According to CNN, the Tesla head on Thursday, May 23, at a tech conference predicted, “Probably none of us will have a job.”

Speaking remotely via webcam at VivaTech 2024 in Paris, Musk said in the coming times jobs would be ‘optional.’

Musk describes, “If you want to do a job that’s kinda like a hobby, you can do a job. But otherwise, AI and the robots will provide any goods and services that you want.”

“There would be no shortage of goods or services,” claimed Musk.

As per the researchers at MIT’s Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Lab’s report in January, workplaces are adopting AI at much more slower pace than was predicted and feared.

The report also identified that the majority of the jobs that were considered vulnerable to AI were not economically beneficial for employers to automate at that time.

Experts also believe that jobs that require high emotional intelligence and human interaction cannot be replaced by AI.

Musk was questioned about whether people would feel emotionally fulfilled if the future was job-free, to which he replied, “The question will really be one of meaning: if the computer and robots can do everything better than you, does your life have meaning?”

He further added, “I do think there’s perhaps still a role for humans in this, in that we may give AI me

aning.”
