World Economic Forum declared the US as the best country for tourism

The World Economic Forum (WEF) recently issued a list of the world's best countries for tourism, and no surprise the United States tops the list.

According to CNN, the WEF report stated that the US is a ‘mature’ tourism market, which means it already has infrastructure and facilities for the tourists like air link connecting cities, tour guides, hotels, rental cars, maps and other on-ground support.

The countries are ranked after looking at a broad range of criteria including, suitability, infrastructure, labour availability, natural resources, and how can the WEF forget competitive pricing.

The WEF data is focused on travelling in terms of the business of hotels, attractions, airports, and airlines.

Six of the top countries on the list are in Europe. The WEF report called the continent a “Resilient destination with strong intra-regional travel flows.”

Europe also got high marks for train connectivity, good position of pound and Euros, strong economies, and the likelihood of the European people to travel more.

The report predicted, “In 2024, global tourism growth is expected to be reinforced by the continued satisfaction of pent-up demand and growth in major Asian markets after travel restrictions have been lifted following a delay compared to other regions.”

Here are the best 10 countries to travel to in 2024, as per the World's Economic Forum.

1. The United States

2. Spain

3. Japan

4. France

5. Australia

6. Germany
